1. Considerations, responsibilities & purposes
We respect your privacy in accordance with the principles under the "General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)". This implies that we process your personal data carefully and in accordance with the said purposes mentioned below. That this is done in accordance with the appropriate technical and security measures to guarantee its confidentiality. Also to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of personal data. The purpose of processing personal data
Recypack BV processes your personal data in the scope of our service as a packaging company. Which includes the following purposes:
- To supply you with our products and services and for processing of your orders, queries and complaints, including assessment of a company's creditworthiness as well as to prevent fraud;
- For the proper maintenance of our website and its technical administration; To conduct market research in order to improve the technical and contextual content of the website;
- For direct marketing purposes, such as displaying personalised advertisements.
2. How do we collect the data, what data do we store and how long do we store it for?
2.1. Information you provide us with
When creating an account, requesting a catalogue or newsletter or by contact whether it may be by telephone, in writing or by email. Even if you buy something from us for the first time, we always request the following information: first name, last name, gender, function, company name, delivery address, billing address, telephone number, email address as well as your CoC number and VAT number. Furthermore, we request the opening times of your warehouse and other requests with regards to the logistics and delivery requirements. We also inquire which packaging materials you use. The aforementioned personal data will be used to improve the content of this website and to customise the content and layout of the pages for every individual visitor.
Some of the information provided is necessary for the processing of your order/request, others help us to tailor our services to your needs. The necessary data is indicated on the forms with the following (*) symbol. In regards to payments that are not transferred online we verify your creditworthiness every 3 months. We only share data with third parties if this should be necessary for the execution of an order (for example, to the bank for the processing of your payment or to the supplier who delivers our packages or pallets to you).
2.2. Data that we add and/or maintain ourselves:
- Your customer number
- Your customer history (a record of your orders, deliveries and payments)
- Your IP address: this is automatically assigned to your computer by your own Internet Service Provider for internet access. We use your IP address to verify from which device an order was placed. This enables us to combat possible fraud, e.g. in the event of unauthorised use of your account by third parties;
- The type and version of your Internet browser and the data related to your last visit to our website.
2.2.1. Retention period
We do not store data for longer than is legally required. The data is stored in a form which makes it possible to identify you. The data may also be stored for a longer period for archiving purposes or to generate statistics.

You may unsubscribe at any time if you do not any longer wish to receive our commercial communication, either by post or by electronic means.

We only store data for a period as required during which you are our customer, unless the law prescribes a longer period.
